We conducted a quality assessment of the IBM BDW implementation project at FUIB, the First Ukrainian International Bank. Kiev, Ukraine July-August 2013.
The First Ukrainian International Bank is one of the biggest corporate banks in Ukraine. Our team conducted an audit of an IBM Banking Data Warehouse implemented by Conim Group ltd. at the bank in 2009-2010. During the quality assurance we had reformed analysis of:
— Data Warehouse data model;
— IBM DataStage ETL procedures;
— BI reporting system.
Recommendations for the project quality and continuation were presented to the Management Board. The main outcome for the bank were our recommendations on:
— Improvement of project management approach;
— Project risks evaluation and awareness at Management Board level;
— Improvement of technical architecture;
— Refining of the logical model;
— ETL architecture and processes improvements;
— BI architecture and reports improvements.
